001: Bethany

What a great start to this project! Bethany is a lively and fun young woman who was an absolute pleasure to have as the opening participant in this project.

Bethany is a very new resident of Vista, only moving here a few months ago. She has had a long journey to get here including working as a restaurant crab preparer while living in Alaska.

Not only this the first official session for The Vistans Project, but it also holds the distinction of being the first time I ever used an 8x10 camera! While I am familiar and comfortable using my 4x5 camera, there is certainly more pressure when making such expensive exposures!
